After the coating application several tests can be performed including:
- Visual inspection
- Coating thickness (total Dry Film Thickness - DFT) (ISO 2808, ASTM D4417)
- Coating thickness per layer (Paint Inspection Gauge - PIG)
- Pull off adhesion testing (ASTM D4541, ISO 4624)
- X-cut or Cross-cut adhesion testing (ISO 2409, ASTM D3359)
- Solvent rub test
